September 26, 2006 - On June 16, 2006, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved a Settlement Agreement, Dockets ER03-563-030 and ER03-563-055, between ISO-NE and the region's stakeholders, creating a newly designed Forward Capacity Market (FCM) that will replace the current Installed Capacity Market (ICAP). The settlement provides for fixed capacity payments during a multi-year transition period beginning December 1, 2006.
