DOE approves ISO New England two-week extension request of the January 2026 Federal Power Act Section 202(c) Order
The Department of Energy (DOE) has approved ISO New England’s request to extend its emergency order under Section 202 (c) of the Federal Power Act through February 14, 2026 in Order No. 202-26-03A.
Participants with units not already listed on the January 29, 2026 9:00 PM version of Exhibit A who are seeking to apply the order to a unit should use the existing approach for adding a unit by following these steps:
- Please have the Designated Entity (DE) of the new resources first contact the ISO Control Room.
- If approved, the Control Room will instruct the DE to have the unit’s Lead Market Participant (MP) contact Participant Support and Solutions (PSS) for the next required actions.
- Contact to PSS after 5 pm weekdays and on weekends is via pager at (877) 226-4814. At the tone, please enter your phone number, including the area code, when prompted for a “numeric message.”
- Contact to PSS during regular business hours and for non-urgent matters is through Ask ISO or by emailing AskISO@iso-ne.com.
- PSS will direct the Lead MP to submit the information needed to populate Exhibit A. Further directions will also be provided regarding other requirements under the Order, including reporting for paragraph B.
