About PTFs
- New England’s PTFs are those facilities owned by participating transmission owners that meet the criteria specified in the Open Access Transmission Tariff and over which the ISO has operating authority. Generally, PTFs are those rated 69 kV or above required to allow energy from significant power sources to move freely on New England’s transmission system.
- The ISO operates PTFs in accordance with the terms set forth in the Transmission Operating Agreement.
