Interconnection Maps

ISO New England maintains public, interactive interconnection maps that provide relevant information to prospective interconnection customers. These maps are maintained pursuant to requirements in the Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT).

The two interconnection maps are:

Point of Interconnection (POI) Analysis Map (“Heatmap”)
Queue Map

Heatmap - POI Analysis Map

Pursuant to Section 6.1 of the ISO’s Interconnection Procedures (Schedules 22, 23 and 25 of the OATT), this map provides:

An interactive visual representation of the estimated incremental injection capacity (in MWs) for a selected POI on the ISO-NE Administered Transmission System under N-1 conditions; and
A table of metrics concerning the estimated impact of a potential Generating Facility on the Administered Transmission System for the POI selected in item 1.

ISO New England will update the heatmap within 30 Calendar Days after completion of a Cluster Study, or following the completion of all Cluster Restudies should they be required. The most recent Cluster Study or Restudy Base Case used in the development of the heatmap, including the underlying case assumptions, can be found on the Interconnection Service Study Planning Models page.

Queue Map

This interactive map provides general information on projects with an active request to interconnect to the ISO-NE Administered Transmission System.
